Certified Behavior Professional - Redmond location

About the position:

  • Primarily located in Redmond, Oregon and is an on-site position, not work from home. Work week hours will be split between Redmond office and on-site at the home where the individuals reside.

  • Full-time non-exempt position, salary $60,000-75,000/year. Usually starting at lower end of pay scale.

  • Position requires meetings in professional settings including psychiatrist, counselor, school, court system etc. and therefore requires that an applicant present himself or herself in a professional, respectful manner.

  • Expect to be reviewing incident reports and using these as a tool for staff training opportunities as well as efficacy of support plans.

  • Upon hire, there will be a 6-month probation period that will determine candidate’s aptitude in the position and fit within the team.

  • Behavior Professionals at CVI are occasionally on-call to assist in crisis situations

  • Certified Behavior Professional as outlined in OAR 411-304-0170.

    • Board-Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA) graduate-level certification in behavior analysis and one-year experience; OR

    • A Master’s AND one-year of experience using positive behavior support services with individuals who experience intellectual or developmental disabilities; OR

    • A Bachelor’s AND three years of experience using positive behavior support services with individuals who experience intellectual or developmental disabilities; OR

    • Minimum of six years of experience performing professional behavior services using positive behavior support services prior to January 1, 2021.

  • Experience providing behavior supports including the creation of Temporary Emergency Safety Plans, Functional Behavior Assessments, and Positive Behavior Support Plans.

  • Experience implementing plans, through thorough training of direct care staff, oversight and maintenance, and modification of plans as needed.

  • Strong skills in word processing, data collection and databases. Preference given to those with experience using Therap and Microsoft 365.

  • Ability to communicate effectively and professionally both verbally and in written form.

  • Be able to think ‘out of the box’ and be a team player that respectfully works in collaboration with direct support staff, managers, and community partners.

  • 3 professional references included with application.



  • Certified Oregon Intervention System Instructor in good standing.
